March of Dimes’ Signature Chefs Fundraiser and Auction


Last week A Spice of Life Chef de Cuisine, Pieter Dijkstra, participated in the March of Dimes’ Signature Chefs Fundraiser and Auction. Guests indulged in signature dishes from the area’s best chefs while participating in an auction of unique items. The live auction included future private dinners from each chef. Pieter’s dinner ended up raising $1,700 for the March of Dimes. Go Pieter!!

For the event, Pieter prepared an all vegan and gluten free selection of wasabi fries with lemongrass ketchup, tea smoked tofu with ginger plum sauce, and Forbidden Rice pudding with mango coulis. Pieter’s wasabi fries were so good they were mentioned specifically in the Daily Camera’s article highlighting the event. Not only was the food amazing, event specialists Lisa Paoletti and Kari Jo Wyrick designed a buffet that wowed the crowd.

Overall, the night was a huge success and A Spice of Life is proud to have been a part of an event for such a great cause.
