24 Aug Eco-cycle stats for first half of 2010

We just got our Eco-cycle report for 2010…. so far.  For the first six months of 2010, A Spice of Life Event Center and Catering has recycled and composted 33,970 pounds of materials!  This translates to resources SAVED:

613 gallons of gas saved

41 tons of greenhouse gas emissions prevented

7 cars off the road for a year

129 pounds of toxic air pollutants prevented

61 pounds of water pollution prevented

73 pounds of toxic herbicides prevented

AND

14,299 pounds of substances harmful to human health prevented.

That’s amazing!  We are so happy to be a part of making a difference to our Mother Earth.
