A family-owned riverside venue on more than five acres along the St. Vrain River beneath red sandstone cliffs in Lyons. A contemporary barn with loft, dining hall, dance floor, catering area and fireplace seats up to 200, with a riverside lawn, sandstone patio and fire pit for ceremonies and cocktails.
A Spice of Life has catered 5 events at River Bend since August 2024, weddings first, with events and corporate events alongside. The busiest stretch for us here has been fall. Charlie is our Event Specialist for River Bend and knows the load-in, the kitchen, and the timing the room needs. River Bend lists A Spice of Life among the caterers it works with, which shortens the first conversation: the venue already knows our trucks, our staff, and how we leave a room. The venue has a prep kitchen rather than a full one; we finish hot food from our own equipment and use the space for staging and plating. The venue publishes capacity of 200 seated; we size service style to that, and a buffet or stations needs more floor than a plated dinner for the same count. Indoor and outdoor space both come into play, so the timeline carries a weather call and we stage food where it stays hot either way. Load-in: Rental noon to 11pm; guests out by 10 PM, final hour reserved for vendor cleanup. Bar closes 9:45 PM. Parking: Ample lit on-site parking with lot attendant; shuttle recommended for larger groups. Alcohol: Venue holds no liquor license; all alcohol must be served by bartenders from the approved list. No self-service or cash bars.

A four-acre working flower farm on the St. Vrain at the edge of Lyons, with a creekside ceremony site and a 2,500-square-foot climate-controlled barn for receptions. The Farmette hosts weddings, rehearsal dinners, farm dinners, workshops, and corporate and private gatherings for up to 125 guests.
