Wedding venues in Lyons and Estes Park, from the caterer who cooks there most weekends

Lyons is twenty minutes from our kitchen and Estes Park is fifty, and between them sit the barns, riversides, and mountain lodges where we cater more weddings than anywhere else. Here is what each one is like to work in.

Lyons: the river and the barns

Lyons has become the wedding town for couples who want mountains without the drive. River Bend and Lyons Farmette sit on the St. Vrain and book most Saturdays from May through October; Planet Bluegrass is the same river with a festival stage; Stone Mountain Lodge is up the hill with lodging on site. We have catered at all four for years, which means our Event Specialist for each already knows where the truck parks and which power circuit the band is on.

Estes Park: lodges, chateaus, and the weather

Della Terra and Black Canyon Inn are the Estes venues we work most, both with the kind of views that end up in every photo and both with logistics that reward a caterer who has done it before. Estes weddings run earlier in the day and cooler in the evening than Boulder couples expect; we plan the menu and the timeline around that.

What stays the same everywhere

A named Event Specialist from the first call through the last toast. Celiac and allergy protocols that travel with us to a field kitchen. Menus written with the season and sourced from Colorado producers where we can. And a quote built for your venue and your guest count, with everything included spelled out.

Questions we get about this

Do mountain wedding venues in Lyons and Estes Park have kitchens?
Some do, most do not, and it rarely matters for the food. We cook for outdoor and barn venues from a field kitchen we bring, sized to the guest count. What matters is water, power, and a level place to stage it, and we know which venues have each.
How does altitude and weather change wedding catering in Estes Park?
Cook times and bread change above 7,000 feet, which is our problem, not yours. Weather is yours to plan for: every outdoor venue here has a rain plan, and we build the timeline so dinner is not the thing that slips when the ceremony moves indoors.
Are you on the preferred caterer list at these venues?
Where a venue publishes a preferred list and we are on it, the venue page says so and links the venue's own page. Where a venue simply allows outside caterers, we say that instead. We do not claim a relationship a venue has not put in writing.

Pick the room, then let us run it

Every quote is custom. Headcount, service style, menu, season, and the venue's own logistics set the number, and we are rarely the lowest quote in Boulder. What you get is an event that runs itself while you are in it.
